This chapter presents the author's experiences in Barcelona during the Spanish Civil War. Sent to cover the first People's Olympiad, the author was in the last train to enter Spain after fighting began. There had been a tremendous battle in Barcelona and many were dead and wounded, but the generals were beginning to be beaten.
