Deconvolution and Analysis of 1H NMR Spectra of Crude Reaction Mixtures

open access: yes, 2023
NMR spectroscopy is an important analytical technique in synthetic organic chemistry, but its integration into high-throughput experimentation workflows has been limited by the necessity to manually analyze NMR spectra of new chemical entities.

Nanoengineered Binetworks in Multifunctional Anionic Block Polymer Mesoblends for Improved Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoblends consist of a nanostructured polymer into which a second polymer is imbibed with a selective solvent. In this work, a solvent‐templatable pentablock terpolymer possessing a sulfonated midblock is modified with a hydrophilic polymer that is photocrosslinked in situ, yielding a hierarchical binetwork.

NMR analysis of Nile Blue (C. I. Basic Blue 12) and Thionine (C. I. 52000) in solution

open access: yes, 2011
The dyes Nile Blue (C. I. Basic Blue 12, NB) and Thionine (C. I. 52000, TH) were examined in both ionic and neutral forms in different solvents using NMR and UV-visible Spectroscopy to firmly establish the structures of the molecules and to assess the ...

Synthesis and root growth activity of some new acetylhydrazinecarbothioamides and 1,2,4-triazoles substituted with 5H-dibenzo[a,d]annulene moiety [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2012
New hydrazinecarbothioamides 5a-d bearing 5H-dibenzo[a,d]an-nulene moiety were synthesized using classical procedures. 1H-NMR analysis indicated the existence of two conformational isomers, a major axial (about 75%) and a minor equatorial one (25 ...

Template‐Confined Synthesis of Shape‐Engineered Single‐Crystal Gold Microplates in Lithographically‐Defined Polymeric Patterns

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐crystal gold microplates are high‐performance nanomaterials with an impressive wafer‐based application space. Progress has, however, been tempered by an inability to exert synthetic control over microplate size, shape, and positioning. In this work, control over these parameters is demonstrated using a seed‐mediated synthesis that both confines ...

Proton NMR relaxometry as a useful tool to evaluate swelling processes in peat soils

open access: yes, 2010
Dramatic physical and physico-chemical changes in soil properties may arise due to temperature and moisture variations as well as swelling of soil organic matter (SOM) under constant conditions.

1D “Spikelet” Projections from Heteronuclear 2D NMR Data—Permitting 1D Chemometrics While Preserving 2D Dispersion

open access: yesMetabolites, 2019
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a powerful tool for the non-targeted metabolomics of intact biofluids and even living organisms. However, spectral overlap can limit the information that can be obtained from 1D 1H NMR.
