Metabolites of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid from bean stems [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 1961
There is considerable contradiction in the literature concerning the nature and number of radioactive metabolites which can be isolated from bean plants following exposure to C14-labeled 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D). Thus the isolation of one principal product which was water-soluble and etherinsoluble has been reported (8, 9,10), while on ...

Polyethyleneimine‐Modified Biosorbent Based on Banana Pseudostem Biomass for Environmental Remediation and Food Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 9, Issue 12, December 2025.
Biosorbents derived from banana pseudostem are functionalized with polyethyleneimine, with or without glutaraldehyde, and evaluated for dye removal and solid‐phase extraction. The materials exhibit high adsorption capacities and broad pH applicability in dye removal, while computational studies reveal amino groups as key interaction sites.

Effects of 2,4 - Dichlorophenoxyacetic Acid on Experimental Animals.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1946
SummaryParenterally-administered 2,4-D produces temporary myotonia in mice, rats, rabbits and dogs following a single injection. Repeated injections have failed to elicit either a characteristic chronic syndrome or a striking histologic picture; nor have they altered the process of reproduction and development in the dose ranges tested.

Somatic embryogenesis and in vitro plantlet regeneration of Lilium martagon L. var. cattaniae Vis.

open access: yesBiologica Nyssana, 2010
In this study organogenic capacity of two different explants type (leaves and whole bulbs) of Lilium martagon L. var. cattaniae Vis. was examined. For induction of in vitro somatic embryogenesis and adventitive regeneration different concentrations of ...
