Vector cross product differential and difference equations in R-3 and in R-7 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Through a matrix approach of the 2-fold vector cross product in R^3 and in R^7, some vector cross product di erential and di erence equations are studied.

Numerical methods for boundary value problems on random domains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this thesis, we consider the numerical solution of elliptic boundary value problems on random domains. The underlying domain is modelled via a random vector field which is given by its mean and its covariance.

Low specificity of determine HIV1/2 RDT using whole blood in south west Tanzania [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic performance of two rapid detection tests (RDTs) for HIV 1/2 in plasma and in whole blood samples. Methods: More than 15,000 study subjects above the age of two years participated in two rounds of a cohort study to ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Hilbert space representations of cross product algebras

open access: yes, 2003
Hilbert space representations of cross product ∗-algebras of the Hopf ∗-algebras Uq(gl2) with the coordinate algebras Ô(Cq2) and O(Rq3) of quantum vector spaces, and of Uq(su2) with the coordinate algebras O(SUq(2)) and O(Sq2) of the corresponding ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Arithmetic for closed balls

open access: yes, 2022
Inspired by circular complex interval arithmetic, an arithmetic for closed balls in Rn is pursued. In this sense, the properties of certain operations on closed balls in Rn, some of which related either to the Hadamard product of vectors or to the 2-fold

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.
