European Wide Forest Classification Based on Sentinel-1 Data

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
The constellation of two Sentinel-1 satellites provides an unprecedented coverage of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data at high spatial (20 m) and temporal (2 to 6 days over Europe) resolution.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Predicting Deterioration in Patients With Normotensive Acute Pulmonary Embolism Using Clinical‐Imaging Features: A Multicenter Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease
Background Prioritization of management strategies in patients with normotensive acute pulmonary embolism is based on the identification of individuals at risk for early deterioration.

Acute Toxicity Assessment and Prediction Models of Four Heavy Metals

open access: yesToxics, 2023
Water quality criteria (WQC) are developed to protect aquatic organisms. Toxicity data of local fish are essential to improve the applicability of WQC derivatives.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Local and $2$-local derivations of Cayley algebras

open access: yes, 2021
The present paper is devoted to the description of local and $2$-local derivations on Cayley algebras over an arbitrary field $\mathbb{F}$. Given a Cayley algebra $\mathcal{C}$ with norm $\mathfrak{n}$, let $\mathcal{C}_0$ be its subspace of trace $0$ elements.

Exploring the wave solutions of a nonlinear non-local fractional model for ocean waves

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
In this research, analytical and semi-analytical soliton solutions for the nonlinear fractional (2 + 1)-dimensional integrable Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff equation (FCBSE) in the non-local form are obtained using recent computational and numerical ...

Local Climate Zones, Land Surface Temperature and Air Temperature Interactions: Case Study of Hradec Králové, the Czech Republic

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2021
The current application of local climate zones (LCZs) often ends with (inter)zonal comparation of land surface temperature (LST) or air temperature (AT).

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

(2+1)-Dimensional Fifth-Order KdV Equation and (2+1)-Dimensional Gardner Equation Obtained from Ideal Fluid Model Revisited—Solitary Wave Solutions

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The (2+1)-dimensional fifth-order KdV equation and (2+1)-dimensional Gardner equation obtained by us using Euler equations for an ideal fluid model in 2023 are revisited.
