Degradation of 2-MIB in aqueous solution by ZnOOH catalyzed ozonation
Journal of Water Supply: Research and Technology-Aqua, 2013In this study, ZnOOH was used as a catalyst and its efficiency in removing trace organic matter, 2-methylisoborneol (2-MIB), in conjunction with ozone was investigated. The catalyst was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), the Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET) method and Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FT-IR).

Removal of 2-MIB and geosmin by electrogenerated persulfate: Performance, mechanism and pathways
Chemosphere, 2017In this study, the degradation of 2-methylisoborneol (2-MIB) and geosmin (GSM) was evaluated by electrochemical oxidation (EO) using boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrode. Both 2-MIB and GSM could be degraded efficiently in sulfate electrolyte compared to inert nitrate or perchlorate electrolytes, implying that in-situ generated persulfate may be ...

Pediatric Medulloblastoma: Prognostic Value of p53, bcl-2, Mib-1, and Microvessel Density
Journal of Neuro-Oncology, 1999The aim of this study was to retrospectively assess the prognostic value of p53 and bcl-2 protein expression, cell proliferation index (Mib-1 index), and tumor microvessel density (factor VIII-related antigen) in pediatric medulloblastoma patients.

Dechlorination techniques to improve sensory odor testing of geosmin and 2‐MIB
Journal AWWA, 2003Chlorine in finished water can mask the more subtle odors of geosmin and 2‐methylisoborneol (2‐MIB), two chemicals that often trigger consumer complaints when present at even nanogram‐per‐litre concentrations. These are two of the odors that are revealed as chlorine dissipates in the distribution system, which is typically at the consumer's end.
