Probing Electrocatalyst Design for Product Selectivity in CO2 Reduction
Selective CO2 electroreduction is controlled by catalyst structure, dynamic surface reconstruction, adsorbate interactions, and reaction microenvironment. This review summarizes Cu‐ and non‐Cu‐based catalysts, single‐atom and molecular systems, degradation pathways, and operando/computational strategies for steering CO2RR toward hydrocarbons ...

Photoluminescence of [RhIII(phpy)2(CN)2]− (phpy−=ortho-metalated 2-phenylpyridine anion)
The complex anion [Rh-III(phpy)(2)(CN)(2)](-) with phpy(-) = 2-phenylpyridine anion shows a blue-green photoluminescence at room temperature in solution (lambda(max) = 460 and 490 nm, phi approximate to 0.006).

A gentle internal corrugation layer conformally reshapes the microcavity OLED stack, redistributing confined optical power toward extractable channels while preserving cavity‐controlled emission. Combined with optical clear resin and a resonance‐matched narrowband pTSF emissive system, this cavity‐compatible architecture delivers an external quantum ...

Substituted pyridines - 2-Benzyl-3,6-dimethyl-4-phenylpyridine and its reactions
2-Benzyl-3,6-dimethyl-4-phenylpyridine has been obtained from 2,5-dimethyl-4-phenyl-pyridine by the Ladenburg-Chichibabin reaction. The compounds formed in its oxidation have been studied.

2-Ethoxy-4-(4-methylphenyl)-6-phenylpyridine-3-carbonitrile
The title compound, C21H18N2O, crystallized with two independent molecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. In molecule A, the central pyridine ring forms dihedral angles of 14.55 (13) and 39.14 (12)° with the terminal ...

Porous polymer monoliths embedded with sensitizer–annihilator dye pairs enable efficient solid‐state visible‐to‐ultraviolet triplet–triplet annihilation‐based photon upconversion under low‐intensity blue and green light. Their co‐continuous porous architectures balance chromophore interactions with substrate accessibility, providing robust and tunable ...

Five heteroleptic iridium(III) complexes bearing cyclometalated 2,4‐diphenylpyridinato ligands were synthesized and their electrochemiluminescence (ECL) investigated. Two different coreactants were evaluated: tri‐n‐propylamine and benzoyl peroxide under anodic and cathodic potentials, respectively.
