Application of Pullulan to Induce Disease Resistance Against Diaporthe nobilis in Postharvest Kiwifruit

Pullulan treatment greatly decreased illness incidence and lesion diameter following Diaporthe nobilis inoculation. Pullulan treatment reduced the accumulation of superoxide anion (O2−), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and the peroxidation of membrane lipids. Pullulan treatment could effectively activate expressions of defense‐related genes.
