RENORMALIZATION CONSTANT AND EFFECTIVE-MASS FOR THE 2-DIMENSIONAL ELECTRON-GAS

open access: yes, 1993
The renormalization constant and the effective mass for the two-dimensional (2D) interacting electron-gas system are determined as a function of density by evaluating the electron self-energy within the GW approximation.

High‐Index, Low‐Loss Optical Material Platforms for Ultra‐Broadband Ultraviolet‐to‐Visible Achromatic Metalenses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An integrated material platform combining engineered SiNx thin films and printable ZrO2 nanoparticle‐embedded resin enables broadband achromatic metalenses from the ultraviolet to visible range. The demonstrated meta‐optics achieve near‐diffraction‐limited focusing with minimal chromatic aberration.

Exchange-correlation energy of a multicomponent two-dimensional electron gas

open access: yes, 2003
We discuss the exchange-correlation energy of a multicomponent (multivalley) two-dimensional (2D) electron gas and show that an extension of the recent parametrization [C. Attaccalite, S. Moroni, P. Gori-Giorgi, and G. B. Bachelet, Phys. Rev. Lett.

Binder Engineering Suppresses Jahn–Teller‐Driven Mn Dissolution and Enables High‐Loading MnO2 Cathodes for Aqueous Zn‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Zn2+‐coordinated poly(vinylidene fluoride) binder is shown to suppress Jahn–Teller‐driven Mn dissolution while improving dispersion, wettability, and structural integrity in thick MnO2 cathodes. This simple binder‐engineering strategy enables high‐loading aqueous Zn‐ion batteries with enhanced areal capacity, cycling stability, and practical promise ...

Modeling of a microwave plasma electron source for neutralization of ion thrusters

open access: yes, 2013
Les sources électroniques sont utilisées pour neutraliser le flux d'électrons sortant d'un propulseur ionique. Les neutraliseurs conventionnels sont des cathodes creuses thermoioniques.

Performance Study of Ultraviolet AlGaN/GaN Light-Emitting Diodes Based on Superlattice Tunneling Junction

open access: yesMicromachines
In this study, we aim to enhance the internal quantum efficiency (IQE) of AlGaN-based ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) by using the short-period AlGaN/GaN superlattice as a tunnel junction (TJ) to construct polarized structures.

Polarity‐Reversible Photoresponse–Driven Autonomous Wavelength Discrimination in Quantum Dot–Tellurium Thin‐Film Photodetectors via Engineered Energy‐Band Alignment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A quantum dot–tellurium thin‐film photodetector autonomously discriminates visible and infrared wavelengths through polarity‐reversible photoresponses. Engineered carrier separation and gain modulation enable filter‐free multispectral sensing within a single‐device architecture.

First results of the 2D gas electron multiplier in the dominant electron heating scenario on EAST

open access: yes, 2019
The 2D gas electron multiplier (GEM) is used to measure the chord-integrated soft x-ray radiation in the direction tangential to the magnetic field. With the Tikhonov tomography algorithm, the soft x-ray emissivity is derived considering the soft x-ray ...

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Backbone‐Controlled Ion‐Side Chain Accessibility in Conjugated Polymers for Organic Electrochemical Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Backbone modulation in glycolated conjugated polymers governs ion accessibility to side chains, strengthes anion adsorption, and suppresses back‐diffusion. As the number of thiophene units increases, structural reorganization, retention, and synaptic plasticity are enhanced, leading to improved neuromorphic performance in electrolyte‐gated organic ...
