Long‐Term Outcomes After Stoma Creation in Crohn's Disease: A Retrospective Cohort Study of 422 Patients

ABSTRACT Aim Stoma creation is often required in Crohn's disease (CD), most commonly because of progressive anorectal disease. As stoma closure strongly influences long‐term quality of life and surgical decision‐making, this study evaluated the indications and long‐term outcomes of stoma creation in patients with CD.

Relationship Between Hospital Volume and Outcomes of Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy for Esophageal Cancer: Analysis of the National Clinical Database in Japan

According to multivariable analysis conducted using a hierarchical logistic regression model, using VHH as the reference group, the odds ratios for mortality by hospital volume category were as follows: VLH, 2.70 (p < 0.0001); LH, 1.72 (p = 0.052); MH, 1.70 (p = 0.034); and HH, 1.43 (p = 0.173).

Memristors based on trimethylsulfonium (phenanthroline)tetraiodobismuthate have been utilised as a nonlinear node in a delayed feedback reservoir. This system allowed an efficient classification of acoustic signals, namely differentiation of vocalisation of the brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula).
