Weighted Hodge ideals of reduced divisors

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2023
We study the Hodge and weight filtrations on the localization along a hypersurface, using methods from birational geometry and the V-filtration induced by a local defining equation.

The usefulness of a hydrolysed fish and rice starch elimination diet for the diagnosis of adverse food reactions in cats: an open clinical trial

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 32, Issue 4, Page 326-e90, August 2021., 2021
Background Diagnosis of adverse food reaction (AFR) is based on an eight week elimination diet (ED) and is confirmed by relapse upon re‐challenge with the previously fed diet. Hydrolysed EDs are commonly used for this purpose. Objective To evaluate the commercially available hydrolysed fish protein and rice starch ED Farmina UltraHypo (FUH) for the ...

THE LIPMAN–ZARISKI CONJECTURE IN GENUS ONE HIGHER

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2020
We prove the Lipman–Zariski conjecture for complex surface singularities with $p_{g}-g-b\leqslant 2$. Here $p_{g}$ is the geometric genus, $g$ is the sum of the genera of exceptional curves and $b$ is the first Betti number of the dual graph.

HODGE IDEALS FOR $\mathbb{Q}$-DIVISORS, $V$-FILTRATION, AND MINIMAL EXPONENT

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2020
We compute the Hodge ideals of $\mathbb{Q}$-divisors in terms of the $V$-filtration induced by a local defining equation, inspired by a result of Saito in the reduced case. We deduce basic properties of Hodge ideals in this generality, and relate them to

Hilbert series and applications to graded rings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2003, Issue 7, Page 397-403, 2003., 2003
This paper contains a number of practical remarks on Hilbert series that we expect to be useful in various contexts. We use the fractional Riemann‐Roch formula of Fletcher and Reid to write out explicit formulas for the Hilbert series P(t) in a number of cases of interest for singular surfaces (see Lemma 2.1) and 3‐folds. If X is a ℚ‐Fano 3‐fold and S ∈

On the embedded Nash problem

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Pi
The embedded Nash problem for a hypersurface in a smooth algebraic variety is to characterize geometrically the maximal irreducible families of arcs with fixed order of contact along the hypersurface.

On Families of Square Matrices

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper we classify families of square matrices up to the following natural equivalence. Thinking of these families as germs of smooth mappings from a manifold to the space of square matrices, we allow arbitrary smooth changes of co-ordinates in ...

Equimultiple Locus of Embedded Algebroid Surfaces and Blowing–up in Characteristic Zero [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 14B05, 32S25.The smooth equimultiple locus of embedded algebroid surfaces appears naturally in many resolution processes, both classical and modern.
