Free divisors versus stability and coincidence thresholds
We show that there is an unexpected relation between free divisors and stability and coincidence thresholds for projective ...

Towards transversality of singular varieties: splayed divisors [PDF]
We study a natural generalization of transversally intersecting smooth hypersurfaces in a complex manifold: hypersurfaces, whose components intersect in a transversal way but may be themselves singular. Such hypersurfaces will be called splayed divisors.

On the torsion of Brieskorn modules of homogeneous polynomials
Let $f\in \mathbb{C}[X_1,..., X_n]$ be a homogeneous polynomial and B(f) be the corresponding Brieskorn module. We describe the torsion of the Brieskorn module B(f) for n=2 and show that any torsion element has order 1.

Lipschitz geometry does not determine embedded topological type
We investigate the relationships between the Lipschitz outer geometry and the embedded topological type of a hypersurface germ in $(\mathbb C^n,0)$.

Local vanishing and Hodge filtration for rational singularities
Given an n-dimensional variety Z with rational singularities, we conjecture that for a resolution of singularities whose reduced exceptional divisor E has simple normal crossings, the (n-1)-th higher direct image of the sheaf of differential forms with ...

Equimultiple Locus of Embedded Algebroid Surfaces and Blowing–up in Characteristic Zero [PDF]
2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 14B05, 32S25.The smooth equimultiple locus of embedded algebroid surfaces appears naturally in many resolution processes, both classical and modern.

Lipschitz normal embedding among superisolated singularities
Any germ of a complex analytic space is equipped with two natural metrics: the outer metric induced by the hermitian metric of the ambient space and the inner metric, which is the associated riemannian metric on the germ.
