Molecular Creep Induced Fatigue Rupture of Fibrin Clots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fibrin networks in thrombi paradoxically exhibit low fatigue resistance despite high fracture energy, as cyclic loading triggers irreversible α‐to‐β transitions in fibrin molecules, causing molecular creep, crack propagation. Multiscale experiments, modeling reveal how nanoscale conformational damage accumulates, linking molecular disorder to ...

A pre - post study to evaluate the clinical efficacy of levosimendan infusion in acute decompensated heart failure [PDF]

open access: yesAl Ameen Journal of Medical Sciences
Background: Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction is a prevalent condition associated with high mortality rates. Levosimendan, a calcium sensitizer and inodilator, has emerged as a promising agent for improving cardiac contractility.

ASO Therapy Targeting STAU2 to Inhibit Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Progression and Metastasis by Regulating the PALLD‐Mediated EMT Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies STAU2 as an oncogenic RNA‐binding protein (RBP) with elevated expression in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where its high levels are significantly correlated with metastatic progression. It elucidates that STAU2 directly binds and regulates PALLD, while mediating the functional role of IQGAP1, thereby driving metastasis ...

Insights into the Mechanisms of Immune‐Checkpoint Inhibitors Gained from Spatiotemporal Dynamics of the Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent advances in the spatiotemporal dynamics of the tumor microenvironment (TME). It highlights the roles of diverse immune and stromal cell populations, spatial architecture of the TME, as well as the gut and tumor microbiota in influencing responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), by integrating insights from single ...

Impact of Oxygen Vacancies in LiCoO2 on the Electrochemical Performance of Garnet‐Based All‐Solid‐State Li‐Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Slight oxygen vacancy formation in LiCoO2 increases its electron charge carrier and Co2+/Co3+ mixed valence states to enhance its total conductivity, thereby increasing the performance of an All‐solid‐state Li battery based on LiCoO2 as the cathode and garnet‐structured LLZO as the solid electrolyte.
