p16Ink4a‐Positive Hepatocytes Drive Liver Fibrosis Through Activation of LIFR Family Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study found that, following the long‐term CCl4 treatment, p16high hepatocytes appeared in zone 3, spatially co‐localizing with fibrotic areas. A specific cluster of p16high hepatocytes upregulated CTF1/LIF expression which induced HSC activation and further liver fibrosis, as revealed by single cell transcriptomic analysis.

miR‑379 inhibits cell proliferation and epithelial‑mesenchymal transition by targeting CHUK through the NF‑κB pathway in non‑small cell lung cancer.

open access: yesMolecular Medicine Reports, 2019
An increasing body of evidence has demonstrated that microRNA (miR) deregulation serves pivotal roles in tumor progression and metastasis. However, the function of miR‑379 in lung cancer remains understudied, particularly in non‑small cell lung cancer ...

RNF213 Is an Interferon‐Stimulated Gene That Targets Influenza A Virus NP and Activates MDA5 to Restrict Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

Serum miR-379 expression is related to the development and progression of hypercholesterolemia in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
INTRODUCTION:Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has a wide spectrum, eventually leading to cirrhosis and hepatic carcinogenesis. We previously reported that a series of microRNAs (miRNAs) mapped in the 14q32.2 maternally imprinted gene region ...

mir-374-5p, mir-379-5p, and mir-503-5p Regulate Proliferation and Hypertrophic Differentiation of Growth Plate Chondrocytes in Male Rats

open access: yesEndocrinology, 2018
Growth plate chondrocytes undergo sequential differentiation to form the resting zone, the proliferative zone (PZ), and the hypertrophic zone (HZ). The important role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in the growth plate was previously revealed by cartilage-specific

NanoLoop: A Deep Learning Framework Leveraging Nanopore Sequencing for Chromatin Loop Prediction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chromatin loops are central to gene regulation and 3D genome organization. Leveraging Nanopore sequencing's ability to jointly capture DNA sequence and methylation, we present NanoLoop, the first framework for genome‐wide chromatin loop prediction using Nanopore data.

Lysophosphatidylethanolamine in Grifola frondosa as a neurotrophic activator via activation of MAPK

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2006
We found that Grifola frondosa extracts induced the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) in cultured PC12 cells, a line of rat pheochromocytoma cells.
