Impact of Asymptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage on Outcome After Endovascular Stroke Treatment

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Endovascular treatment (EVT) achieves high rates of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, but functional recovery remains heterogeneous. While symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) has been well studied, the prognostic impact of asymptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (aICH) after EVT is less certain ...

Influence of Foliar Application of Hydrogen Peroxide on Gas Exchange, Photochemical Efficiency, and Growth of Soursop under Salt Stress

open access: yesPlants, 2023
Hydrogen peroxide at low concentrations has been used as a salt stress attenuator because it induces a positive response in the antioxidant system of plants. This study aimed to assess the gas exchange, quantum yield, and development of soursop plants cv.

miR-380-5p-mediated repression of TEP1 and TSPYL5 interferes with telomerase activity and favours the emergence of an “ALT-like” phenotype in diffuse malignant peritoneal mesothelioma cells

open access: yesJournal of Hematology & Oncology, 2017
BackgroundUnderstanding the molecular/cellular underpinnings of diffuse malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (DMPM), a fatal malignancy with limited therapeutic options, is of utmost importance for the fruitful management of the disease. In this context, we

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Magnetic and Structural Response Tuned by Coexisting Mn Concentration‐Dependent Phases in MnBi2Te4 Thin Film Grown on GaAs(001) by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study explores structural and magnetic properties of one of the most recent topological quantum materials (MnBi2Te4). The Mn‐poor structure leads to stacking faults (quintuple layer ‐ QL of Bi2Te3 formation instead of a septuple layer ‐ SL of MnBi2Te4), resulting in a coexistence between weak antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism.

Are olfactory stimuli able to induce emotional responses in a positive context in ewes?

open access: yesAnimal
The perception of olfactory stimuli can influence animal emotions and behaviours, which are critical for survival and adaptation. This study explored the properties of three olfactory stimuli (orange essential oil, wolf faeces, and cadaverine) to induce ...
