Laser optical system of the IBM 3800 printer

Conference on Laser and Electrooptical Systems, 1976
The IBM 3800 printer combines laser optical and electrophotographic technologies to produce high quality nonimpact printing at speeds of 25,000–45,000 characters/sec. The 3800 operates by exposing a photosensitive drum with an acoustooptically modulated laser beam which is scanned parallel to the drum axis.

Etats de valence de NS dans le domaine 2250–3800 Å

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Physics, 1973
Five red-degraded transitions, A2Δ–X2Π, G2Σ−–X2Π, H2Π–X2Π, I2Σ+–X2Π, and B2Π–X2Π of 14N32S, have been observed in the region 2250–3800 Å. The complete rotational analysis of these transitions leads to a coherent attribution of the electronic transitions

Control of the IBM 3800 Printing Subsystem

IBM Journal of Research and Development, 1978
The IBM 3800 Printing Subsystem is controlled by a high speed multilevel, interrupt-driven microprocessor. The design of this system has included several innovative concepts to take advantage of the flexibility of electrophotographic laser printing. New functions that are introduced include intermixed pitches, fonts, and line spacings; user-alterable ...

Evaluation of the Hitachi S-3800 Supercomputer Using Six Benchmarks

The International Journal of Supercomputer Applications and High Performance Computing, 1995
The S-3000 series is the third generation of Hitachi's supercomputers. It is claimed to be currently the fast est single processor supercomputer. In this paper, we introduce the S-3000 and, using six benchmarks we designed, evaluate a member of this series of super computer, the top of the range S-3800, against its pre decessor, the Hitachi HITAC S-820.

The Sun Fireplane SMP interconnect in the Sun Fire 3800-6800

HOT 9 Interconnects. Symposium on High Performance Interconnects, 2002
Worldwide server revenue is dominated by symmetric multiprocessor (SMP) systems. The architecture and implementation of the interconnect that maintains system-wide cache coherency is critical to the performance and scalability of SMP systems. This paper describes the Sun/sup TM/ Fireplane SMP interconnect protocol, and the implementation choices we ...

The absorption spectrum of HNF in the region 3800–5000 Å

Journal of Molecular Spectroscopy, 1970
Abstract An absorption spectrum occurring in the region 3800–5000 A, obtained in the flash photolysis of HNF 2 , was investigated at high resolution. The main conclusions of earlier workers are confirmed, namely that the absorption is due to a type- C transition of the HNF molecule, which is bent in both ground and excited states.
