Pattern recognition in 3D automatic human motion analysis
ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, 1990Abstract The recent developments in the fields of pattern recognition and parallel computation open new possibilities to motion analysis. The quantitative analysis of movement is no longer restricted to the research, but is becoming an important tool for the assessment of patients and the therapeutic evaluation in clinical environment, as well as in ...

Artificial neural networks for 3D nonrigid motion analysis
[Proceedings 1992] IJCNN International Joint Conference on Neural Networks, 2003A novel approach to 3D nonrigid motion analysis using artificial neural networks is presented. A set of neural networks is proposed to tackle the problem of nonrigidity in 3D motion estimation. Constraints are specified to ensure a stable and global consistent estimation of local deformations.

2D and 3D motion analysis in digital subtraction angiography
1995A very active research is conducted on notion analysis. Most of the concepts, methods and assumptions are well established and lead to additional improvements in computer vision applications. Even in medicine where we have to deal with noisy data, low contrast structures and deformable objects, they bring new cues at all the processing stages.

3D+T motion analysis: motion sensor network versus multiple video cameras
Optics and Photonics for Information Processing XII, 2018This paper addresses the problem of motion analysis performed from digital data captured by a network of motion sensors scattered over a 3D+T field of interest. The digital signals captured in the field are transmitted through a telecommunication network to be processed in a remote monitoring center by an artificial intelligent system based on a dual ...

Motion Detection Using 3D Image Histograms Sequences Analysis
2005 IEEE Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems: Technology and Applications, 2005This paper presents an unconventional approach for motion detection using 3D image histogram sequence analysis. The idea of this approach is to remove the process of motion estimation into the field of 3D image histogram sequences by analysis of their statistical characteristics.

3D Human Motion Analysis for Reconstruction and Recognition
2014In recent years, biometrics modalities with depth information are an interesting resource. As they can apply to many applications, range scanners have obviously become popular increasing the measurement accuracy and speed. In this paper, we propose a method for 3D human motion analysis for reconstruction and recognition.

3D Part Recognition Method for Human Motion Analysis
1998A method for matching sequences from two perspective views of a moving person silhouette is presented. Regular (approximate uniform thickness) parts are detected on an image and a skeleton is generated. A 3D regular region graph is defined to gather possible poses based on the two 2D-regular regions, one for each view, at a given frame.

ADVANCEMENTS IN SENSOR-BASED AMBULATORY 3D MOTION ANALYSIS
Journal of Biomechanics, 2007INTRODUCTION Decentralizing health care prompts for a shift of clinical decision making capacities, from specialized motion analysis labs into the hands of the larger community of peripheral properly educated professionals in healthcare, ergonomics and sports.
