3D motion analysis of keratin filaments in living cells
SPIE Proceedings, 2010We present a novel and efficient approach for 3D motion estimation of keratin intermediate filaments in vitro. Keratin filaments are elastic cables forming a complex scaffolding within epithelial cells. To understand the mechanisms of filament formation and network organisation under physiological and pathological conditions, quantitative measurements ...

Animation and radiobiological analysis of 3D motion in conformal radiotherapy
Radiotherapy and Oncology, 1999To allow treatment plans to be evaluated against the range of expected organ motion and set up error anticipated during treatment.Planning tools have been developed to allow concurrent animation and radiobiological analysis of three dimensional (3D) target and organ motion in conformal radiotherapy.

An integrated approach to 3D motion analysis and object recognition
IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 1991An integrated system for 3D motion estimation and object recognition with outdoor stereo image sequences as inputs is presented. The goals are to obtain from input stereo images the 3D motion description and the identification of a vehicle moving against a stationary background.

Human Motion Extrapolation via Motion Analysis and 2D-3D Motion Estimation
2011 Fourth International Conference on Ubi-Media Computing, 2011The 3D virtual reality is a very popular research area over the last decade. The 3D products are proposed in video game industries. But most of the 3D products or researches didni¦t use the real images or videos to generate, so we proposed a method to adopt the real 2D images to render 3D-liked vision. Our goal is to show the object like Google Map, we

3D+T motion analysis with nanosensors
Applications of Digital Image Processing XL, 2017This paper addresses the problem of motion analysis performed in a signal sampled on an irregular grid spread in 3-dimensional space and time (3D+T). Nanosensors can be randomly scattered in the field to form a “sensor network”. Once released, each nanosensor transmits at its own fixed pace information which corresponds to some physical variable ...

3D Part Recognition Method for Human Motion Analysis
1998A method for matching sequences from two perspective views of a moving person silhouette is presented. Regular (approximate uniform thickness) parts are detected on an image and a skeleton is generated. A 3D regular region graph is defined to gather possible poses based on the two 2D-regular regions, one for each view, at a given frame.

Man in |e|space.mov / motion analysis in 3D space
Proceedings of the 13th annual ACM international conference on Multimedia, 2005The article documents the theoretical and aesthetical basis of the interactive dance performance "man in |e|space.mov". The text discusses the abstraction of the human body in this performance by an interactive costume of light whose motion is analyzed by a 3D motion-rendering programme, which assembles and recombines the captured frame in real time in

Walking Motion Analysis Using 3D Acceleration Sensors
2008 Second UKSIM European Symposium on Computer Modeling and Simulation, 2008Human walking motion shows various information including involuntary behaviors such as walking patterns, ground conditions, health conditions, as well as conscious actions such as system control and communication. Such information can be used to establish interface with ubiquitous network systems.

Vibration modes for nonrigid motion analysis in 3D images
1994We concentrate on nonrigid motion analysis in 3D images using modal dynamics. Borrowing the solid state physics formulation, we develop the equations of motion and the analytical expression of vibration modes of a multidimensional elastically-deformable model. Thus, nonrigid motion of a 3D deformable object can be recovered in closed-form in real time.

A New Precision 3D Motion Analysis System
Advances in Bioengineering, 1998Abstract A new in vitro technique for measuring three-dimensional six-degree-of-freedom motion was developed. The system consists of twenty-four nylon lines activating digital rotary encoders which are mounted on six panels of a rigid frame that surround the testing space.
