Motion Analysis of 3D Ultrasound Texture Patterns

2003
We model the process of imaging soft tissues with a 3D ultrasound probe using a linear convolution model, and obtain analytical expressions of both the ultrasound image and its spectrum. We use this model to study the ultrasound decorrelation caused by tissue motion both in the spatial domain and spectral domain.

2D and 3D motion analysis in digital subtraction angiography

1995
A very active research is conducted on notion analysis. Most of the concepts, methods and assumptions are well established and lead to additional improvements in computer vision applications. Even in medicine where we have to deal with noisy data, low contrast structures and deformable objects, they bring new cues at all the processing stages.

An integrated approach to 3D motion analysis and object recognition

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 1991
An integrated system for 3D motion estimation and object recognition with outdoor stereo image sequences as inputs is presented. The goals are to obtain from input stereo images the 3D motion description and the identification of a vehicle moving against a stationary background.

3D nonrigid motion analysis under small deformations

Image and Vision Computing, 2003
We present a novel method for estimating motion parameters and point correspondences between 3D surfaces under small nonrigid motion. A vector point function is utilized as the motion parameter, called the displacement function. Differential-geometric changes of surfaces are then used in tracking small deformations.

3D motion analysis of keratin filaments in living cells

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
We present a novel and efficient approach for 3D motion estimation of keratin intermediate filaments in vitro. Keratin filaments are elastic cables forming a complex scaffolding within epithelial cells. To understand the mechanisms of filament formation and network organisation under physiological and pathological conditions, quantitative measurements ...

Animation and radiobiological analysis of 3D motion in conformal radiotherapy

Radiotherapy and Oncology, 1999
To allow treatment plans to be evaluated against the range of expected organ motion and set up error anticipated during treatment.Planning tools have been developed to allow concurrent animation and radiobiological analysis of three dimensional (3D) target and organ motion in conformal radiotherapy.

Human Motion Extrapolation via Motion Analysis and 2D-3D Motion Estimation

2011 Fourth International Conference on Ubi-Media Computing, 2011
The 3D virtual reality is a very popular research area over the last decade. The 3D products are proposed in video game industries. But most of the 3D products or researches didni¦t use the real images or videos to generate, so we proposed a method to adopt the real 2D images to render 3D-liked vision. Our goal is to show the object like Google Map, we

3D+T motion analysis with nanosensors

Applications of Digital Image Processing XL, 2017
This paper addresses the problem of motion analysis performed in a signal sampled on an irregular grid spread in 3-dimensional space and time (3D+T). Nanosensors can be randomly scattered in the field to form a “sensor network”. Once released, each nanosensor transmits at its own fixed pace information which corresponds to some physical variable ...

3D Part Recognition Method for Human Motion Analysis

1998
A method for matching sequences from two perspective views of a moving person silhouette is presented. Regular (approximate uniform thickness) parts are detected on an image and a skeleton is generated. A 3D regular region graph is defined to gather possible poses based on the two 2D-regular regions, one for each view, at a given frame.

Walking Motion Analysis Using 3D Acceleration Sensors

2008 Second UKSIM European Symposium on Computer Modeling and Simulation, 2008
Human walking motion shows various information including involuntary behaviors such as walking patterns, ground conditions, health conditions, as well as conscious actions such as system control and communication. Such information can be used to establish interface with ubiquitous network systems.
