Robust 3D Watermarking Technique for Authentication of 3D Polygonal Medel
2010 Sixth International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge and Grids, 2010Up to now, 3D watermarking has mainly focused on triangle meshes which are the most used digital representations of the shape of a 3D model. In this paper, we present a watermarking technique for authentication of 3D polygonal meshes. We propose a robust 3D watermarking method for high rate embedding of a watermark into 3D polygonal meshes.

A Method for Designing Flat-Foldable 3D Polygonal Models
Volume 5B: 39th Mechanisms and Robotics Conference, 2015We propose a method for designing targeted 3D polygonal models that can be folded flat, which consist of side panels as well as horizontal top and bottom panels. Vertically adjacent panels are connected by hinges at their horizontal edges. The models can be folded flat by pushing down the top panel, while they can be also deployed by pulling up the top

Generation of Secured 3D Polygonal Models Using Lazy Wavelet Transforms
2008 First International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology, 2008Digital watermarking has been proposed to increase the digital data security, confidentiality and integrity. However in the area of CAD/CAM geometric models there are no effective ways to protect the copyright of 3D geometric models. As a first step to solve this problem a new novel watermarking method for 3D polygonal models is introduced.

On Finding Large Empty Convex Bodies in 3D Scenes of Polygonal Models
2008 International Conference on Computational Sciences and Its Applications, 2008This paper presents a method for finding large empty convex bodies within a 3D scene of polygonal models. The convex bodies we pack are discrete orientation polytopes (k-dops) with a small number of facets. The algorithm searches for a large empty k-dop within the scene, using a combination of random sampling and physical simulation, allowing the body ...

Polygon‐based texture mapping for cyber city 3D building models
International Journal of Geographical Information Science, 2007The three-dimensional building model is one of the most important components in a cyber city implementation. Currently, however, most building models do not have sufficient and accurate texture information. The lack of texture not only makes 3D building models less realistic in visualization, it may also fail to provide needed information in intricate ...

3D Organic Modeling Using Hybrid Techniques with Polygons
2019This work presents a methodology of 3D modeling suitable for the design and manufacture of components with complex forms of organic inspiration. It is applied to a real case of development of a sculptural element related to the corporate image of a company.

Draw and cut: intuitive 3D osteotomy planning on polygonal bone models
International Congress Series, 2003Abstract We present a novel approach on computer-assisted 3D planning of arbitrarily shaped osteotomies on polygonal bone models. Osteotomy lines can be drawn ‘free-hand’ onto a 3D geometry, either by stroke projection or by the use of several control points, that are automatically connected in a shortest way, approximating osteotomy lines across a ...

A Web-based retrieval system for 3D polygonal models
Proceedings Joint 9th IFSA World Congress and 20th NAFIPS International Conference (Cat. No. 01TH8569), 2002This paper describes a Web-based retrieval system for 3D polygonal models. Feature descriptors of 3D polygonal model are reduced by feature descriptor grouping techniques. This enables fast queries of 3D polygonal models from the databases. Also, the system can retrieve colors from material color databases for 3D polygonal models reflecting users ...
