Rendering Of Texture On 3D Surfaces [PDF]

open access: possibleTwenty-Second Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2005
This paper presents a novel and computationally efficient model based algorithm for artificially rendering textures on a 3D surfaces. We use a Gaussian Markov Random Field (GMRF) for modelling the texture. The GMRF has been shown to faithfully reproduce a vast class of micro and macro image textures.

3D Rendering in the Cloud

Bell Labs Technical Journal, 2012
Many modern applications and window systems perform three-dimensional (3D) rendering. For a cloud system to support such applications, that 3D rendering must be performed in the cloud, because the end-user equipment cannot be relied upon to contain the necessary rendering hardware.

3D Seismic Volume Rendering [PDF]

open access: possible8th International Congress of the Brazilian Geophysical Society, 2003
Volume Visualization has become a very useful tool for modern seismic interpretation. The main purpose of this technique is to obtain an overview of structural and stratigraphic features. Most of the currently available software for 3D seismic visualization employs the same rendering equations used in traditional medical imaging. However, the nature of

Application of 3D rendering in Twinmotion

2020 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV), 2020
3D rendering is a heavy task for virtual reality models in order to reduce the amount of work in this part. The paper describes the process of rendering using Twinmotion after modeling with 3Dmax modeling software, which shows the simplicity and operability of Twinmotion. It also shows the work rendered using Twinmotion.

Dynamics of 3D polygonal rendering

2010 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SIBIRCON), 2010
This paper details a novel approach to modeling the real-time rendering process. Given the backset of rapidly advancing technology in computer hardware and software, the 3D rendering process is well known to be both dynamic and complex. By analyzing this process through the perspective of system identification and dynamics, our proposed approach ...

Depth-less 3D rendering

2012 Conference Record of the Forty Sixth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers (ASILOMAR), 2012
We propose a new view synthesis without using a depth map for stereoscopic images with small baseline. The new technique utilizes the linear relationship between local luminance changes and small horizontal shifts in an image. In this paper, we prove the linear relationship between local luminance changes and small horizontal shifts.

Fractal Rendering of 3D Shapes

IECON 2006 - 32nd Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2006
In the paper we deal with the fractal rendering of 3D patches. To obtain IFS needed for patches generation we use self-similarity arguments. In order to get IFS every considered patch is splitted into 4 subpatches. Obtained IFS generates iteratively attractors that are immersed in a higher dimensional space.

Distributed 3D audio rendering

Computer Networks and ISDN Systems, 1998
This paper discusses the use of audio spatialisation techniques to complement current developments in Voice-over-IP. The result is to create a shared synthetic audio environment in which Voice-over-IP streams from several participants appear to be spatially located.

Voxel: A 3D rendering proposal

2017 Conference on Information and Communication Technology (CICT), 2017
Voxel is known as a unit of three-dimensional representation. It has a great potential for the application in its composition for all kinds of signals and objects. This work searches to determine the computational methods that allow the generation of discrete elements, which integrates objects and signals.
