A Novel Robust Spread Spectrum Watermarking Scheme for 3D Video Traitor Tracing

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The 3D video traitor tracing approach is an effective technique for securing 3D content. This approach involves the protection of the multimedia content and the prevention of each malicious manipulation by embedding the Collusion-Secure Fingerprinting ...

Two-Stream RNN/CNN for Action Recognition in 3D Videos

open access: yes, 2018
The recognition of actions from video sequences has many applications in health monitoring, assisted living, surveillance, and smart homes. Despite advances in sensing, in particular related to 3D video, the methodologies to process the data are still ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Beyond Static Features for Temporally Consistent 3D Human Pose and Shape from a Video [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2020
Despite the recent success of single image-based 3D human pose and shape estimation methods, recovering temporally consistent and smooth 3D human motion from a video is still challenging. Several video-based methods have been proposed; however, they fail

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

The Effect of Applying 2D Enhancement Algorithms on 3D Video Content

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2014
Enhancement algorithms are typically applied to video content to increase their appeal to viewers. Such algorithms are readily available in the literature and are already widely applied in, for example, commercially available TVs.

3D video performance segmentation [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2010
We present a novel approach that achieves segmentation of subject body parts in 3D videos. 3D video consists in a free-viewpoint video of real-world subjects in motion immersed in a virtual world. Each 3D video frame is composed of one or several 3D models.

Forecasting Human Dynamics from Static Images

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents the first study on forecasting human dynamics from static images. The problem is to input a single RGB image and generate a sequence of upcoming human body poses in 3D.

Age‐Related Characteristics of SYT1‐Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorder

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives We describe the clinical manifestations and developmental abilities of individuals with SYT1‐associated neurodevelopmental disorder (Baker‐Gordon syndrome) from infancy to adulthood. We further describe the neuroradiological and electrophysiological characteristics of the condition at different ages, and explore the associations ...
