Geometrical features of (4+d) gravity [PDF]
We obtain the vacuum spherical symmetric solutions for the gravitational sector of a (4+d)-dimensional Kaluza-Klein theory. In the various regions of parameter space, the solutions can describe either naked singularities or black-holes or wormholes.

Emergent universe in $$D \ge 4$$ D ≥ 4 dimensions with dynamical wormholes
We present a flat emergent universe (EU) in Einstein gravity with non-linear equation of state (nEoS) in the usual four and in higher dimensions. The EU is assumed to evolve from an initial Einstein’s static universe (ESU) in the infinite past.

New 4-D Imaging for Real-Time Intraoperative MRI: Adaptive 4-D Scan [PDF]
Aiming at real-time 3-D visualization of organ motion to navigate surgical procedures in MRI-guided surgery, a new 4-D MR imaging technique called "Adaptive 4-D Scan" has been proposed. The technique is designed to acquire a time series of volumetric 3-D images (4-D image) of cyclically moving organ, even in a low-field open-configuration MR scanner. A

Blowup for Biharmonic NLS [PDF]
We consider the Cauchy problem for the biharmonic (i.\,e.~fourth-order) NLS with focusing nonlinearity given by $i \partial_t u = \Delta^2 u - \mu \Delta u -|u|^{2 \sigma} u$ for $(t,x) \in [0,T) \times \mathbb{R}^d$, where $0 < \sigma 4/d$, we prove a ...

Supersymmetric Dyonic Black Holes in Kaluza-Klein Theory [PDF]
We study supersymmetric, four-dimensional (4-d), Abelian charged black holes (BH's) arising in (4+n)-d (1 \le n \le 7) Kaluza-Klein (KK) theories. Such solutions, which satisfy supersymmetric Killing spinor equations (formally satisfied for any n) and ...

TIME-SYMMETRIC INITIAL DATA SETS IN 4--D DILATON GRAVITY [PDF]
I study the time--symmetric initial--data problem in theories with a massless scalar field (dilaton), free or coupled to a Maxwell field in the stringy way, finding different initial--data sets describing an arbitrary number of black holes with arbitrary
