One loop renormalization of the 4-D Quantum Dilaton Gravity in Spherical symmetric background [PDF]
We study the one loop renormalization in the most general metric-dilaton theory with second derivative only. In constant background dilaton theory, there are two types of gravity background which enable the theory renormalizable at one-loop level.

3-D Shadows of 4-D Algebraic Hypersurfaces in a 4-D Perspective
The paper is focused on the four-dimensional visualization of hypersurfaces represented by implicit equations without their parametrization. We describe a general method to find shadow boundaries in an arbitrary dimension and apply it in a three- and four-dimensional space.

Dilaton Black Holes Near the Horizon [PDF]
Generic $U(1)^2$ 4-d black holes with unbroken $N=1$ supersymmetry are shown to tend to a Robinson-Bertotti type geometry with a linear dilaton and doubling of unbroken supersymmetries near the horizon.

Risk Factors for Rehospitalizations after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Aim. To assess the rehospitalization data of patients after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), to determine possible risk factors for rehospitalization, and to work out a strategy of post-transplantation follow-up for this ...

Bootstrapping $O(N)$ Vector Models in $4
We use the conformal bootstrap to study conformal field theories with $O(N)$ global symmetry in $d=5$ and $d=5.95$ spacetime dimensions that have a scalar operator $\phi_i$ transforming as an $O(N)$ vector.

Experience with the Use of B-RAF Inhibitor Vemurafenib in the Treatment of Hairy Cell Leukemia
Background. The standard and effective treatment of hairy cell leukemia (HCL) involves purine analogs, interferon-α (IFN-α) administration, and splenectomy.

ABSTRACT Background Pediatric patients with extracranial solid tumors (ST) receiving chemotherapy are at an increased risk for Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP). However, evidence guiding prophylaxis practices in this population is limited. A PJP‐related fatality at our institution highlighted inconsistent prescribing approaches and concerns about

Strong Coupling vs. 4-D Locality in Induced Gravity
We re-examine the problem of strong coupling in a regularized version of DGP (or ``brane-induced'') gravity. We find that the regularization of ref. hep-th/0304148 differs from DGP in that it does not exhibit strong coupling or ghosts up to cubic order ...

Sickle Cell Disease Is an Inherent Risk for Asthma in a Sibling Comparison Study
ABSTRACT Introduction Sickle cell disease (SCD) and asthma share a complex relationship. Although estimates vary, asthma prevalence in children with SCD is believed to be comparable to or higher than the general population. Determining whether SCD confers an increased risk for asthma remains challenging due to overlapping symptoms and the ...
