A Holographic Surface Measurement of the Texas 4.9-m Antenna at 86 GHz

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1983
An instrument has been built which allows the electromagnetic measurement of the surface accuracy of a large millimeter-wavelength antenna. The University of Texas 4.9-m radio telescope has been measured with this technique at 86.1 GHz to an accuracy of 4 ?m at the surface.

High speed wireless access system using 4.9 GHz band

Proceedings IEEE 56th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2003
At present, wireless access systems in the 5 GHz band, specified by the MMAC-PC (Multimedia Mobile Access Communication systems Promotion Council), are allocated frequencies from 5.15 to 5.25 GHz, and only for indoor use in Japan. Outdoor wireless access systems in the 5 GHz band are currently under consideration.

A low-cost-packaged 4.9-6 GHz LNA for WLAN applications

IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2003, 2003
A two stage fully integrated low-noise amplifier has been developed for 4.9-6 GHz WLAN applications. This circuit was realized in a 0.35 /spl mu/m SiGe BiCMOS process and packaged in a low cost plastic VFQFPN package. The circuit operates over a wide band (4.9-6 GHz) and draws 13.2 mA from 2.0 V supply.

Vertical and Horizontal Building Entry Loss Measurement in 4.9 GHz Band by Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2019
User traffic of mobile wireless communication is rapidly increasing in urban areas. Thus, service cell planning becomes an important issue for efficient radio resource usage. Since users are also inside high buildings in those areas, it is important to know the building entry loss (BEL) characteristics from the outside base stations of various ...

4.5-/4.9-GHz-band tunable high-efficiency GaN HEMT power amplifier

2017 47th European Microwave Conference (EuMC), 2017
A 4.5–4.9-GHz-band tuneable high-efficiency GaN HEMT power amplifier has been developed to meet the demand for high-speed data-rate wireless communication systems. By applying one-eighth-wavelength, closely spaced, parallel, open-ended stubs to set a short condition at a mid second-order harmonic frequency, and by switching its condition between ...
