New Pulsars from an Arecibo Drift Scan Search
We report the discovery of pulsars J0030+0451, J0711+0931, and J1313+0931 that were found in a search of 470 square degrees at 430 MHz using the 305m Arecibo telescope.

Evaluating Real Time Ramp Meter Queue Length and Wait Time Estimation
Models to predict ramp meter queue length from traffic detector data are potentially useful tools in improving traffic operations and safety. Existing research, however, has been based on microscopic simulation or relied on extensive calibration of ...

High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

An omnivorous mesopredator modifies predation of omnivore‐dispersed seeds
Post‐dispersal seed predation is an important determinant of plant recruitment. Although many plant species are dispersed following consumption by omnivorous vertebrates, the potential for these dispersal agents to indirectly affect seed fate by ...
