Brachycephaly in French bulldogs and pugs is associated with narrow ear canals

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 33, Issue 3, Page 214-e60, June 2022., 2022
Background Brachycephalic dog breeds have multiple skull malformations which may lead to anatomical changes in the external auditory canal. It is our frequent observation that in the otoscopic examination of the external ear in these breeds we are unable to visualise the tympanic membrane as a consequence of extreme narrowing of the proximal ear canal.

Influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance and advantages of restricting antimicrobial use based on cumulative antibiograms in dogs with Staphylococcus pseudintermedius infections in Japan

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 32, Issue 6, Page 668-e178, December 2021., 2021
Background Antimicrobial resistance in Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (SP) and the prevalence of meticillin‐resistant SP (MRSP) is increasing in dogs worldwide. Objectives To evaluate the influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance of SP and whether restricted use of antimicrobials based on antibiograms could reduce the identification of ...

Some results on a generalized ω‐Jacobi transform

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 63, Page 3379-3387, 2004., 2004
We introduce a generalized ω‐Jacobi transform and obtain images of certain functions under this transform. Moreover, we define a new probability density function (pdf) involving this new generalized ω‐Jacobi function. Some basic functions associated with the pdf, such as characteristic function, moments and distribution function, are evaluated.

On inversion of H‐transform in 𝔏v,r‐space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 21, Issue 4, Page 713-722, 1998., 1997
The paper is devoted to study the inversion of the integral transform involving the H‐function as the kernel in the space 𝔏v,r of functions f such that .

A note on dual integral equations involving inverse associated Weber‐Orr transforms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 19, Issue 1, Page 161-169, 1996., 1993
We consider dual integral equations involving inverse associated Weber‐Orr transforms. Elementary methods have been used to reduce dual integral equations to a Fredholm integral equation of second kind. Some known results are obtained as special case.

Dual integral equations involving Weber‐Orr transforms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 14, Issue 1, Page 163-176, 1991., 1990
In this paper we consider dual integral equations involving inverse Weber‐Orr transforms of the type , k = 0, 1, …. A general solution is established using elementary methods. Many known results are derived as special cases.

Abelian theorems for Whittaker transforms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 10, Issue 3, Page 417-431, 1987., 1986
Initial and final value Abelian theorems for the Whittaker transform of functions and of distributions are obtained. The Abelian theorems are obtained as the complex variable of the transform approaches 0 or ∞ in absolute value inside a wedge region in the right half plane.

Recent developments on the Stieltjes transform of generalized functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 10, Issue 4, Page 641-670, 1987., 1986
This paper is concerned with recent developments on the Stieltjes transform of generalized functions. Sections 1 and 2 give a very brief introduction to the subject and the Stieltjes transform of ordinary functions with an emphasis to the inversion theorems.

Analytic representation of the distributional finite Hankel transform

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 8, Issue 2, Page 325-344, 1985., 1985
Various representations of finite Hankel transforms of generalized functions are obtained. One of the representations is shown to be the limit of a certain family of regular generalized functions and this limit is interpreted as a process of truncation for the generalized functions (distributions). An inversion theorem for the gereralized finite Hankel

A generalized Meijer transformation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 8, Issue 2, Page 359-365, 1985., 1985
In a series of papers [1‐6], Kratzel studies a generalized version of the classical Meijer transformation with the Kernel function (st) νη(q, ν + 1; (st)q). This transformation is referred to as GM transformation which reduces to the classical Meijer transform when q = 1.
