Exploring the Influence of Origin, Harvest Time, and Cultivation Method on Antioxidant Capacity and Bioactive Compounds of Matcha Teas

open access: yesFoods
Matcha, or powdered green tea, has been gaining popularity and is no longer consumed only in the form of infusions, finding new uses in gastronomy and the food industry. The range of teas available on the food market has expanded considerably; hence, the

Southern California marine sport fishing from privately-owned boats: Catch and effort for April-June 1981 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
The catch landed and effort expended by private-boat sport fishermen were studied in southern California between April and June 1981, in order to determine the impact of one segment of the sport fishery on local marine resources.

Spin‐Split Edge States in Metal‐Supported Graphene Nanoislands Obtained by CVD

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Combining STM measurements and ab‐initio calculations, we show that zig‐zag edges in graphene nanoislands grown on Ni(111) by CVD retrieve their spin‐polarized edge states after intercalation of a few monolayers of Au. ABSTRACT Spin‐split states localized on zigzag edges have been predicted for different free‐standing graphene nanostructures.

COFs on MOFs: Layer‐by‐Layer Synthesis of MOF@COF Nanoparticles with Synergistic Adsorption

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A layer‐by‐layer strategy enables the growth of crystalline covalent organic framework (COF) shells on metal–organic framework nanoparticles, creating core–shell structures with tunable porosity. Ordered interstitial mesopores are formed during shell growth, which are connected with the COF's intrinsic micropores, thereby enhancing water sorption. This

Artificial Intelligence Empowerment and Carbon Emission Performance: A Systems Perspective on Sustainable Cleaner Production

open access: yesSystems
Amid China’s pursuit of its “dual carbon” goals, systematic theoretical and empirical research remains limited to the potential role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing firms’ carbon emission performance (CEP).

3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Light‐Induced Entropy for Secure Vision

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work realized a ternary true random number generator by exploiting stochastic traps emerging within multiple junction interfaces, and quantitatively validated the generation of high‐quality random numbers. Furthermore, it successfully demonstrated diverse applications, including AI‐resilient image security, thereby providing a valuable guide for ...

Surface‐Capped Protein Nanoparticles for Nonviral Gene Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Developing simple, safe, and efficient nonviral delivery systems remains a significant challenge in bioengineering. Nanoparticles offer promising gene delivery capabilities with reduced toxicity; however, long‐standing challenges related to effective plasmid encapsulation and delivery exist.

Patterning of Lead Halide Perovskite Device Stacks on CMOS Readout Using Selective Microfabrication Protocols

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present a microfabrication and integration strategy for lead halide perovskite photodetectors on electronic readouts. Standard photolithography, aqueous processing, selective transparent electrode etching, and plasma‐assisted pixel isolation enable precise monolithic integration of patterned 400 × 400 perovskite microphotodetector arrays on a CMOS ...
