Le régionalisme de Jacques Chessex : questions autour d’une lecture de Portrait des Vaudois

open access: yesCarnets, 2010
Starting from a reading of Portrait des Vaudois written by the Romand Swiss Jacques Chessex, wherein we will attempt to draw up the regionalisms – either in the lexical level or in the choice of the scenes, near to the folklorism and exalting the “vie du

In Front of the Distorting Mirror of the Vortex: the Reception of Vorticism in the British Political Press (1913-1916)

open access: yesE-REA, 2016
The Vorticist movement appeared in 1914, after a fight between the English avant-garde and Italian Futurism, just as England entered World War One, and when the country was facing an uneasy transition from an old and stable order to a new era of trouble ...

Photometry of asteroids (5141), (43032), (85953), (259221), and (363599) observed at Pic du Midi Observatory [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, 2018
These are the first results of an observational program devoted to the complete physical data of asteroids that could produce or feed meteoroid streams. Our results are based on the optical observation at Pic du Midi observatory in April 6–7, 2016 and January 17–18, 2018.

Fish Sidestream-Derived Protein Hydrolysates Suppress DSS-Induced Colitis by Modulating Intestinal Inflammation in Mice

open access: yesMarine Drugs, 2021
Inflammatory bowel disease is characterized by extensive intestinal inflammation, and therapies against the disease target suppression of the inflammatory cascade. Nutrition has been closely linked to the development and suppression of inflammatory bowel

Enhancing Enzyme Activity With Mutation Combinations Guided by Few‐Shot Learning and Causal Inference

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
We present an integrated workflow that predicts activity‐enhancing mutation combinations from minimal experimental data. By proposing in vivo unit yield (yield/expression) as a surrogate for kcat/Km through causal inference, and visualizing local activity landscape, it effectively guides product yield improvement. ABSTRACT Designing enzyme sequences to

Blinatumomab for treatment of children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in Hong Kong: A cost‐effectiveness analysis

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary To assess the cost‐effectiveness of blinatumomab plus chemotherapy for paediatric patients from Hong Kong public healthcare provider's perspective, a 10‐year Markov model was designed to simulate outcomes in paediatric patients with newly diagnosed standard‐risk B‐cell ALL at: (1) average risk and (2) high risk of relapse.

Molecular phylogenetic analysis sheds light on the diversity and evolutionary history of the Neotropical and African Triplophyllum (Tectariaceae)

open access: yesJournal of Systematics and Evolution, EarlyView.
We used a molecular approach to resolve the evolutionary lineages of Neotropical Triplophyllum, uncovering that current species circumscriptions are hindered by high morphological homoplasy in indument characters. Our results support the recognition of three new species and provide a necessary neotypification for T.

Abstract 5141: Streptococcus gallolyticus in colorectal cancer development

open access: yesCancer Research, 2018
Abstract Streptococcus gallolyticus subsp. gallolyticus (Sg) has been reported to have a strong clinical correlation with colorectal cancer (CRC) for several decades. Our recent data indicates that Sg is able to actively promote the development of colon tumor and thus is also functionally important to CRC. Further investigations into the

Optimal time-decay rates of the Keller–Segel system coupled to compressible Navier–Stokes equation in three dimensions

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2022
Recently, Hattori–Lagha established the global existence and asymptotic behavior of the solutions for a three-dimensional compressible chemotaxis system with chemoattractant and repellent (Hattori and Lagha in Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 41(11):5141–5164,

Preschool Duration, Family Background and Long‐Term Outcomes: Evidence From the Expansion of École Maternelle in France

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper analyses the long‐term effects of preschool education in France. We focus on the effect of preschool duration on educational attainment and labour market earnings in adulthood. Building on an old tradition of free and universal pre‐primary education, France implemented in the late 1960s a large‐scale expansion of preschooling ...
