Defect Spinel Aluminum Molybdenum Sulfide: A Dual‐Function Catalyst for Polysulfide Conversion and Aluminum Intercalation in Aluminum–Sulfur Batteries

Defective Aluminum Molybdenum sulfides embedded in carbon nanotubes can effectively promote electron transfer by physical confinement and chemical adsorption at the cathode, limiting the shuttling effect of aluminum polysulfides. Also, the bimetallic sulfide itself can contribute to high capacity.

Ultrafast Exciton and Spin Dynamics of Monolayer MoSi2N4 Studied by Non‐Degenerate Pump‐Probe Transient Transmission Spectroscopy

The resonant energy of the A and B exciton of the new 2D material, monolayer MoSi2N4, is found to be 2.18 and 2.34 eV, respectively, indicating a spin‐splitting energy of ≈160 meV.
