"Blowin' in the Wind" [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
open1noThe title of this article may suggest that it constitutes a tribute to the recent Nobel Prize in Literature and a sweet remembrance of bour 20s for those of us who are now in our 60s. That could be the case.

The KDM6B/SLC10A2 Axis Suppresses MDSCs Recruitment via ERK/AP‐1 Signaling in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In wild‐type intestinal epithelial cells, KDM6B demethylates SLC10A2 to promote its expression, after which SLC10A2 suppresses ERK phosphorylation, inhibiting AP‐1 (Fos/Jun) transcription and chemokine production. In KDM6B‐deficient intestinal epithelial cells, SLC10A2 methylation increases, and its expression decreases.

A New Way to Detect Massive Black Holes in Galaxies: The Stellar Remnants of Tidal Disruption [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We point out that the tidal disruption of a giant may leave a luminous (10^35-10^39 ergs/s), hot (10-100 eV) stellar core. The ``supersoft'' source detected by Chandra at the center of M31 may be such a core; whether or not it is, the observations have ...

cDC1 Subtype‐Specific In Vivo Targeting of Liposomes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dendritic cells, particularly the cDC1 subtype, offer a promising target for drug delivery via liposomes due to their pivotal role in immune regulation, allowing for amplified therapeutic responses. Herein, we show an integration of physicochemical characterization and cell experiments to achieve effective in vivo cDC1 targeting through anti‐CLEC9A ...

Antimicrobial Profiling of Bacteria Isolated from Fish Sold at Informal Market in Mufakose, Zimbabwe

open access: yesInternational Journal of Microbiology, 2019
The number of infections caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria is rising worldwide. Fish from multisource pollution waters can harbour multidrug-resistant bacteria that can be disseminated to humans through eating or contact of contaminated fish.

Mitigating the Rock‐Salt Phase Transformation in Disordered LNMO Through Synergetic Solid‐State AlF3/LiF Modifications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The transition between the spinel and rock‐salt phases induces irreversible structural changes in disordered LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4, thereby preventing it from fully releasing its electrochemical capacity during charge/discharge cycling. Abstract High‐voltage disordered spinel LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 is a promising cathode material for high power density in lithium‐ion
