Waveform candidates for 5G mobile communications

Choosing a suitable waveform candidate for 5G air interface is the biggest challenge. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is commonly adopted Multi-Carrier modulation waveform, has several limitations that is not suitable for future wireless scenarios. In this paper various problems based on the variants of OFDM are identified.
