Um eine räumlich‐zeitliche Kontrolle der PPARγ‐Aktivität zu ermöglichen, entwickelten wir den schnell relaxierenden photoschaltbaren Agonisten 6, der PPARγ selektiv in seinem lichtinduzierten Z‐Zustand aktiviert und innerhalb von Sekunden (t1/2 = 47 s) in den inaktiven E‐Zustand relaxiert.

Lichtaktivierbare Iridium(III)‐Prodrugs zeigen, wie die Koordination von Chalkogenen die photoinduzierte therapeutische Aktivität steuert. Bei Bestrahlung mit sichtbarem Licht laufen an den schwefel‐ bzw. selenhaltigen Liganden unterschiedliche, sauerstoffabhängige Photoreaktionen ab.
