High‐Fidelity Synthetic Data Replicates Clinical Prediction Performance in a Million‐Patient Diabetes Cohort

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study generates high‐fidelity synthetic longitudinal records for a million‐patient diabetes cohort, successfully replicating clinical predictive performance. However, deeper analysis reveals algorithmic biases and trajectory inconsistencies that escape standard quality metrics. These findings challenge current validation norms, demonstrating why a

Diagnostic Challenges and Innovations in Thoracic Endometriosis (TE)

open access: yesQuality in Sport
Endometriosis is a condition characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue in ectopic locations outside the gynecological organs. Thoracic endometriosis (TE) is a rare and underdiagnosed condition characterized by the presence of endometrial-like ...

Pathogenicity and peramivir efficacy in immunocompromised murine models of influenza B virus infection

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Influenza B viruses are important human pathogens that remain inadequately studied, largely because available animal models are poorly defined. Here, we developed an immunocompromised murine models for influenza B virus infection, which we subsequently ...

Targeting Peptostreptococcus anaerobius with an Iron‐Based Nanozyme Reverses Ferroptosis Resistance and Enhances Antitumor Immunity in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An iron‐based nanozyme selectively eliminates intratumoral P. anaerobius while catalytically generating ROS to induce ferroptosis, synergistically suppressing colorectal cancer growth and activating anti‐tumor immunity through immunogenic cell death. ABSTRACT The intratumoral microbiota is a critical determinant of therapeutic outcomes in colorectal ...

Radical‐Mediated, Substrate‐Independent Fabrication of Hybrid Solid–Hydrogel Materials With Tunable Crosslinking: An Initiator‐ and Crosslinker‐Free Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a substrate‐independent, reagent‐free plasma strategy that forms radical‐rich interlayers for covalent hydrogel attachment without initiators or crosslinkers. The long‐lived radicals drive in situ gelation, creating robust, cytocompatible hybrid solid–hydrogel constructs across diverse substrates.

M\"obius invariant integrable lattice equations associated with KP and 2DTL hierarchies

open access: yes, 1998
Integrable lattice equations arising in the context of singular manifold equations for scalar, multicomponent KP hierarchies and 2D Toda lattice hierarchy are considered. These equation generate the corresponding continuous hierarchy of singular manifold

Discovery of an Adaptive Neuroimmune Response Driving Itch and Fast Tick Removal with Implications for Preventing Pathogen Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Itch‐induced tick removal (IITR): An acquired neuroimmune mechanism, itch‐induced tick removal, develops after repeated tick exposure, mobilizing T cells and macrophages at the tick bite site to trigger a rapid scratching response that facilitates timely tick removal within a critical window that precedes the transmission of many tick‐borne pathogens ...
