1701 + 610 - A QSO with a tidal tail
The Astronomical Journal, 1986 The paper presents deep CCD imaging of the X-ray-selected QSO 1701 + 610, which reveals the presence of a long-curved tail exceeding 80 kpc in length. The QSO has redshift 0.169, and lies in an absorption-line galaxy that has two secondary nuclei 2.7 and 5.9 arcsec from the central nucleus, on the side away from the tail.
