Spin‐Crossover Confinement in Mesoporous Matrices Enables Tunable Porosity for Molecular Sensing
The integration of hierarchically organized porous frameworks with spin‐crossover nanodomains enables cooperative interactions across multiple length scales. This hybrid design merges dynamic molecular switching with tunable porosity, yielding materials whose structural and functional responses are actively modulated by confinement and guest uptake ...

Bathymetry Surveys of Post-Mining Pit Lakes Formed after Exploitation of Lignite
Flooding of post-mining voids is one of the most common methods of post-mining areas reclamation. The article presents selected post-mining lakes investigated within the research project “Risk assessment of final pits during flooding” (RAFF), co-financed

xx xx. ABSTRACT Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by disrupted neuronal circuit maturation. Emerging evidence implicates microglial function and mitochondrial regulation as contributors to ASD‐associated biology, yet the mechanisms linking these processes to neuronal development remain poorly defined ...

Using observation-level random effects to model overdispersion in count data in ecology and evolution [PDF]
Overdispersion is common in models of count data in ecology and evolutionary biology, and can occur due to missing covariates, non-independent (aggregated) data, or an excess frequency of zeroes (zero-inflation).

Ectodermal tissue excised from Xenopus embryos self‐organizes into a three‐dimensional mucociliary organoid. Here, we generate a neural variant, termed neurobot, by implanting neural precursor cells. Neurobots develop mature neurons, adopt distinct morphologies, exhibit more complex motility, and respond differentially to neuroactive compounds. Imaging

Liposomal nanoconfinement converts the hemicyanine photosensitizer RhM from Type‐II to Type‐I photodynamic therapy (PDT) while enhancing photothermal therapy (PTT). The RhM‐R837@Lip nanoassembly efficiently generates superoxide (O2•−) and hydroxyl radicals (•OH) to kill tumor cells and achieve tumor ablation.

The shifting perception on antioxidants: The case of vitamin E and β-carotene
Antioxidants are vital for aerobic life, and for decades the expectations of antioxidants as health promoting agents were very high. However, relatively recent meta-analyses of clinical studies show that supplementation of antioxidants does not result in
