Are PM6:Y6 Bulk Heterojunction Photoactive Films Cytocompatible and Electrically Stable in Biological Environments?

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
PM6:Y6 organic photovoltaic films are systematically studied to understand their potential for use in bioelectronics. The films exhibit excellent stability in simulated physiological environments, enabling consistent power delivery and demonstrating compatibility with rat neurons and the choriallantoic membrane of chicken embryos.

On the Enhanced p‐Type Performance of Back‐Gated WS2 Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable method for directly growing WS2 enables robust and persistent p‐type behavior in back‐gated FETs, independent of metal contacts, thickness, or ambient conditions. Electrical measurements reveal minimal Schottky barrier heights and stable thermionic transport, while first‐principles simulations suggest tungsten vacancies or WO3 species as the

Dipole Engineering in Charge Generation Interface for Fully Solution‐Processed and PEDOT:PSS‐Free Tandem Quantum‐Dot Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Tandem quantum‐dot light‐emitting diodes (QLEDs) face challenges in charge‐generating layer (CGL) design. This study introduces a dipole‐engineered CGL by anchoring ammonium acetate at the PMA/hole‐transport layer interface. This enhances carrier transport and energy‐level alignment, enabling solution‐processed tandem QLEDs to double the ...

Graphene‐Based Oscillators for Biomimetic Neuro‐Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Graphene oxide membranes combined with polyelectrolytes form ionic transistors that generate oscillatory ion currents, mimicking neuronal signaling. These low‐voltage devices synchronize Ca2+ flux, modulate vascular smooth muscle contraction, and integrate into multivibrator circuits, offering a bioinspired platform for neuromorphic electronics and ...
