Uniform difference method for singularly pertubated delay Sobolev problems

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper, a numerical study is made of an initial-boundary value problem for a singularly perturbed delay Sobolev equations (SPDSEs). Here we propose an exponentially fitted method based on finite differences to solve an SPDSE.

Solution of local fractional generalized coupled Korteweg–de Vries (cKdV) equation using local fractional homotopy analysis method and Adomian decomposition method

open access: yesApplied Mathematics in Science and Engineering
In this study, time-fractional coupled Korteweg–de Vries (cKdV) equations are solved using an efficient and reliable numerical technique. The classical cKdV system has been generalized into the time-fractional cKdV system.

An Asymptotic Analysis For A Model Of Chemical Vapor Deposition On A Microstructured Surface

open access: yes, 1998
.<F3.778e+05> We consider a model for chemical vapor deposition, the process of adsorption of gas onto a surface together with the associated deposition of a chemical reactant on the surface.

On the computation of roll waves

open access: yes, 2001
. The phenomenon of roll waves occurs in a uniform open-channel flow down an incline, when the Froude number is above two. The goal of this paper is to analyze the behavior of numerical approximations to a model roll wave equation ut + uux = u; u(x; 0) =

Dynamical behaviour of a logarithmically sensitive chemotaxis model under time-dependent boundary conditions

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Applied Mathematics
This article studies the dynamical behaviour of classical solutions of a hyperbolic system of balance laws, derived from a chemotaxis model with logarithmic sensitivity, with time-dependent boundary conditions. It is shown that under suitable assumptions
