Biosensor based on bimetallic/graphene composite for non‐enzymatic detection of hydrogen peroxide in living tumor cells

open access: yesBiotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, Volume 70, Issue 3, Page 1024-1034, June 2023., 2023
This work aimed to build a biosensor for the catalytic detection of H2O2. The biosensor was developed by electrodeposition of Pt and Pd nanoparticles on the gold electrode surface modified with graphene‐hemin composite nanomaterial (HGNs) and prussian blue‐chitosan, enabling PB‐CS/HGNs/Pt&Pd biosensor to achieve triple catalysis to detect H2O2 ...

Characteristics and Meteorological Factors of Severe Haze Pollution in China

open access: yesAdvances in Meteorology, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
A severe haze pollution incident caused by unfavorable weather conditions and a northern air mass occurred in eastern, northern, northwestern, and southwestern China from January 15 to January 22, 2018. To comparatively analyze variations in PM2.5 pollution, hourly monitoring data and 24 h meteorological data were collected.

Online registry for nationwide database of Helicobacter pylori eradication in Korea: Correlation of antibiotic use density with eradication success. [PDF]

open access: yesHelicobacter, 2019
Abstract Background The Helicobacter pylori eradication rate has decreased with increasing antibiotic resistance. We conducted a prospective, nationwide, multicenter registry study to monitor the real status of H. pylori eradication therapy and to investigate the association between eradication success and antibiotic use density in Korea. Materials and

Rapid recovery of tropical forest diversity and structure after shifting cultivation in the Philippines uplands

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 10, Issue 14, Page 7189-7211, July 2020., 2020
We investigated parameters of forest diversity and structure along a shifting cultivation fallow gradient in Leyte island, the Philippines. Regenerating secondary forests following shifting cultivation abandonment can exhibit high resilience and recover rapidly.

Flow equations for cold Bose gases

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2017
We derive flow equations for cold atomic gases with one macroscopically populated energy level. The generator is chosen such that the ground state decouples from all other states in the system as the renormalization group flow progresses.

A superfluid-droplet crystal and a free-space supersolid in a dipole-blockaded gas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A novel supersolid phase is predicted for an ensemble of Rydberg atoms in the dipole-blockade regime, interacting via a repulsive dipolar potential "softened" at short distances.

Bose-Einstein condensation of alkaline earth atoms: $^{40}${Ca} [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We have achieved Bose-Einstein condensation of $^{40}$Ca, the first for an alkaline earth element. The influence of elastic and inelastic collisions associated with the large ground state s-wave scattering length of $^{40}$Ca was measured.

Reply to "Comment on `Quenches in quantum many-body systems: One-dimensional Bose-Hubbard model reexamined' ''

open access: yes, 2010
In his Comment [see preceding Comment, Phys. Rev. A 82, 037601 (2010)] on the paper by Roux [Phys. Rev. A 79, 021608(R) (2009)], Rigol argued that the energy distribution after a quench is not related to standard statistical ensembles and cannot explain ...
