Stability of flat zero-energy states at the dirty surface of a nodal superconductor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We discuss the stability of highly degenerate zero-energy states tha appear at the surface of a nodal superconductor preserving time-reversal symmetry.

Scaling and Complexity of Stress Fluctuations Associated with Smooth and Jerky Flow in FeCoNiTiAl High-Entropy Alloy

open access: yesMetals, 2023
Recent observations of jerky flow in high-entropy alloys (HEA) revealed a high role of self-organization of dislocations in their plasticity. The present work reports the first results of the investigation of stress fluctuations during plastic ...

Clean Energy Technology Observatory: Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage in the European Union – 2022 Status Report on Technology Development, Trends, Value Chains and Markets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
This report is an output of the Clean Energy Technology Observatory (CETO). CETO’s objective is to provide an evidence-based analysis feeding the policy making process and hence increasing the effectiveness of R&I policies for clean energy technologies ...

Energy Correlators of Hadronically Decaying Electroweak Bosons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Energy correlators are field-theoretically clean and phenomenologically valuable probes of QCD dynamics. We explore the possibility of using the information encoded in the energy correlators of a hadronically decaying electroweak vector boson in order to extract its full decay density matrix.

Continuous Comodules [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with unity and $C$ be an $R$-coalgebra. The ring $R$ is clean if every $ r\in R $ is the sum of a unit and an idempotent element of $R$. An $R$-module $M$ is clean if the endomorphism ring of $M$ over $R$ is clean. Moreover, every continuous module is clean. We modify this idea to the comodule and coalgebra cases.

Electronic States and Energy Dissipations of Vortex Core in Pure FeSe Single Crystals Investigated by Microwave Surface Impedance Measurements [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Phys. Soc. Jpn., Vol.90, No.9, (2021), 2017
In order to clarify electronic states and energy dissipations due to a motion of a vortex core in pure FeSe, which is a candidate superconductor possessing a super-clean core, we measured the microwave surface impedance of pure FeSe single crystals under finite magnetic fields.

The contribution of sustainable and clean energy to the strengthening of energy security

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science, 2022
The motivation for this research was the large importance of the development of clean energy for environmental protection and the uncertainty about the impacts of clean energy on energy security.

The 2013 Mexican Energy Reform in the Context of Sustainable Development Goal 7

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
In 2013, the Mexican Constitution was amended to allow private firms to participate in the energy sector market. Consequently, the energy reform opened the energy market to private investors, ending the state monopoly of PEMEX and CFE.

Black Holes at the LHC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
If the scale of quantum gravity is near a TeV, the LHC will be producing one black hole (BH) about every second. The BH decays into prompt, hard photons and charged leptons is a clean signature with low background.
