Application of the Fullwaver system to geothermal exploration: Reaching for alteration and fluid information from the quantification of electrical conductivity processes [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Improvements in the distributed acquisition of induced-polarization data enabled geophysicists to image deeper targets. Furthermore, thanks to the development of new models able to describe the electrical conductivity processes, numerous properties of ...

Subsurface characterization in constrained environments using towed Capacitively Coupled resistivity (CCR) imaging – Case studies [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Capacitive-coupled resistivity tomography (CCR) is a rapid, non-invasive, and reliable method for subsurface imaging. It is particularly effective in urban or heavily anthropized environments, where conventional resistivity measurement techniques are ...

Bioaccumulation and cytological alteration of immune organs of chicken following inorganic arsenic exposure

open access: yesIndian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2020
Arsenic is an ecotoxicant that has been found to affect both mammal and avian population. The present study deals with the arsenic deposition in different immune organs of arsenic exposed broiler chicken.

Distributed Acoustic Sensing in Geophysics: Influence of DAS parameters on seismic measurements [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Distributed Acoustic Sensing is now a proven solution to record seismic data over long distances and dense geometries. It fundamentally differs however from traditional geophone or hydrophone measurements as the wavefield is sampled on a non-zero length ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Evaluation of Intracerebral Grafting of Dopamine-Secreting PC12 Cells into Allogeneic and Xenogeneic Brain

open access: yesCell Transplantation, 1997
The PC12 pheochromocytoma tumor cell line is derived from a rat adrenal medullary tumor and secretes dopamine. We have previously reported that grafted microencapsulated PC12 cells using agarose and poly(styrene sulfonic acid) survived in the xenogeneic ...
