Quantitative separation of 1:8 cineole and β-phellandrene in eucalyptus leaf extracts

Phytochemistry, 1976
Abstract A method is described for separating 1:8-cineole and β-phellandrene in extracts of eucalyptus leaves on a silica gel column by elution with selective solvents and quantitative analysis of the separates by gas-liquid chromatography.

Products of 1,8-Cineole Oxidation by a Pseudomonad

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1979
A bacterium having close affinity with Pseudomonas flava was isolated from eucalypt leaves for its ability to utilize 1,8-cineole (1) as a carbon source. The bacterium is also capable of utilizing a-terpineol, camphor, isoborneol and geraniol but failed to grow on borneol, limonene and piperitone.

1, 8-cineole protects against ISO-induced heart failure by inhibiting oxidative stress and ER stress in vitro and in vivo

European Journal of Pharmacology, 2021
Sugemule-3 is widely adopted in clinical practice to manage cardio-cerebral diseases. 1, 8-cineole is the main ingredient of Sugemule-3, however, the underlying cellular mechanisms for its protective effect are poorly understood. 1, 8-cineole improved the survival of H9C2 cardiomyocytes during isoproterenol (ISO) injury and reduced ISO-induced ...

Attenuation of quorum sensing regulated virulence functions and biofilm of pathogenic bacteria by medicinal plant Artemisia annua and its phytoconstituent 1, 8‐cineole

Microscopy Research and Technique, 2023
AbstractThe emergence of multidrug resistance (MDR) in bacterial pathogens is a serious public health concern. A significant therapeutic target for MDR infections is the quorum sensing‐regulated bacterial pathogenicity. Determining the anti‐quorum sensing abilities of certain medicinal plants against bacterial pathogens as well as the in‐silico ...

Isobaric vapor liquid equilibrium in binary mixtures of α‐pinene, limonene and 1, 8‐cineole

The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, 1991
AbstractIsobaric vapor liquid equilibrium at atmospheric pressure has been determined for binary mixtures of (–) α‐pinene, (+)‐limonene and 1, 8‐cineole. The Margules and Var Laar equations as well as the models proposed by Wilson, by Renon and Prausnitz (NRTL) and by Abrams and Prausnitz (UNIQUAC) were used to correlate the experimental data.

1, 8-Cineole Ameliorated Staphylococcus aureus-Induced Pneumonia through Modulation of TRP-KYN and Arginine-NO Reprogramming

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry
1, 8-Cineole (Cin), a cyclic monoterpenoid derived from tea trees and eucalyptus species, exhibits diverse pharmacological properties. Yet, its therapeutic impact and underlying mechanism against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) pneumonia remain to be elucidated. In this study, metabolomics based on UPLC-MS/MS was integrated with network pharmacology,
