Influence of Top Electrode Metal on Resistive Switching in Multilayer MOCVD MoS2 Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
MoS2 memristors typically use evaporated noble metal electrodes. This study compares Pd, Ni, and Al electrodes and sputtered versus evaporated deposition. Pd is passive, while Ni damages MoS2, yielding poor switching. Sputtered Al enables reproducible ECM‐type switching with 95% yield, whereas evaporated Al forms an interfacial oxide that suppresses ...

Oxidation State Determines Solvent Structure Around a Manganese–Vanadium Polyoxometalate Water‐Oxidation Catalyst

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Oxidation state controls microsolvation in the polyoxometalate {MnV}n−$\{{\rm MnV}\}^{n-}$ water‐oxidation catalyst in acetonitrile/water mixtures. The reduced species {MnV}3− attracts a highly structured hydration layer even at low water content, preferentially binding terminal V═O sites and excluding acetonitrile, while oxidized species show weaker ...

Chotosan, a Kampo Formula, Ameliorates Chronic Cerebral Hypoperfusion-Induced Deficits in Object Recognition Behaviors and Central Cholinergic Systems in Mice

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2007
We previously demonstrated that the Kampo formula chotosan (CTS) ameliorated spatial cognitive impairment via central cholinergic systems in a chronic cerebral hypoperfusion (P2VO) mouse model.

Debunking Common Myths & Misconceptions About NMC Positive Electrode Materials for Li‐ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
LiNixMnyCozO2 (NMC) and LiNixCoyAlzO2 (NCA) remain the choice for high‐energy‐density lithium‐ion battery positive electrode materials, yet many myths persist surrounding them. Herein, four common misconceptions are tackled to better inform the lithium‐ion battery field.

Diabetes-Induced Central Cholinergic Neuronal Loss and Cognitive Deficit Are Attenuated by Tacrine and a Chinese Herbal Prescription, Kangen-Karyu: Elucidation in Type 2 Diabetes db/db Mice

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2011
.: We investigated the effect of kangen-karyu (KK), a Chinese herbal prescription, on cognitive deficits and central cholinergic systems of type 2 diabetic db/db mice. Seven-week-old db/db (Y-db/db) mice received daily administration of test drugs during

The Recovery Experience Questionnaire: development and validation of a measure for assessing recuperation and unwinding from work.

open access: yesJournal of Occupational Health Psychology, 2007
Drawing on the mood regulation and job-stress recovery literature, four self-report measures for assessing how individuals unwind and recuperate from work during leisure time were developed (Study 1). Confirmatory factor analyses with a calibration and a

Streamlined V3.5+ Electrolyte Production by Leveraging Chemical and Catalytic Reductions

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A tuned catalytic process for V3.5+ electrolyte production is shown to streamline the conventional chemical‐to‐catalytic sequence by extending catalysis into the rate‐determining reduction regime. This study shows that initiating catalysis in this regime shortens the overall production time by 67% based on rigorous thermodynamic and kinetic analysis of

Origin of a Raman scattering peak generated in single-walled carbon nanotubes by X-ray irradiation and subsequent thermal annealing

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
We have found that a Raman scattering (RS) peak around 1870 cm−1 was produced by the annealing of the X-ray irradiated film of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) at 450 oC.
