On Carleman and observability estimates for wave equations on time‐dependent domains
Abstract We establish new Carleman estimates for the wave equation, which we then apply to derive novel observability inequalities for a general class of linear wave equations. The main features of these inequalities are that (a) they apply to a fully general class of time‐dependent domains, with timelike moving boundaries, (b) they apply to linear ...

Integral observability operators of nonlinear dynamical systems
In terms of functional dependence, the description of observable functions in nonlinear dynamical systems, which are analytic with respect to phase variables, is obtained. For processing of measurements, integral operators are used, which provide certain noise stability of operation of phase state reconstruction.

SOME CONTROLLABILITY RESULTS FOR LINEARIZED COMPRESSIBLE NAVIER-STOKES SYSTEM. [PDF]
. In this article, we study the null controllability of linearized compressible Navier-Stokes system in one and two dimension. We first study the one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes system for non-barotropic fluid linearized around a constant ...

Boundedness control sets for linear systems on Lie groups
Let Σ be a linear system on a connected Lie group G and assume that the reachable set 𝓐 from the identity element e ∈ G is open. In this paper, we give an algebraic condition to warrant the boundedness of the existent control set with a nonempty interior

Interval estimates of functionals in time‐delay systems with uncertainty
We consider a linear dynamical system with delay and uncertainty in initial data and movement and measurement equations. We present an algorithm of estimating an interval of possible values of functionals on solutions. We construct suboptimal weight functions in integral observation operators to minimize a sure estimation.

This paper concerns the approximate controllability of the initialboundary problem of double coupled semilinear degenerate parabolic equations. The equations are degenerate at the boundary, and the control function acts in the interior of the spacial ...

Existence of solutions and controllability of nonlinear integrodifferential systems in Banach spaces
We prove the existence of mild and strong solutions of integrodifferential equations with nonlocal conditions in Banach spaces. Further sufficient conditions for the controllability of integrodifferential systems are established. The results are obtained by using the Schauder fixed‐point theorem. Examples are provided to illustrate the theory.

On The Controllability of Some Systems on Lie Groups [PDF]
Linear control systems on matrix Lie groups have an important place in terms of their application to real-life problems [1]. By the definition in the context of Lie groups a linear control system is determined by the pair Σ = (G, D), where the state

Controllability of some bilinear and semilinear parabolic problems
We present in this paper a survey of recent results on the controllability of the parabolic system governed by bilinear control. We first discuss the problem of global controllability which corresponds to the question of whether the solution of the ...
