Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Possible signatures for tetraquarks from the decays of $$a_0(980)$$ a 0 ( 980 ) , $$a_0(1450)$$ a 0 ( 1450 )

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
Based on the recent proposal for the tetraquarks with the mixing scheme, we investigate fall-apart decays of $$a_0(980), a_0(1450)$$ a 0 ( 980 ) , a 0 ( 1450 ) into two lowest-lying mesons.

The a0(980) and f0(980) in the process Ds+→K+K−π+

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2021
In this work, we have investigated the process Ds+→K+K−π+, taking into account the contributions from the S-wave pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar interaction within the chiral unitary approach, and also the intermediate ϕ resonance.

On the \phi(1020)f_0(980) S-wave scattering and the Y(2175) resonance

open access: yes, 2009
We have studied the \phi(1020)f_0(980) S-wave scattering at energies around threshold employing chiral Lagrangians coupled to vector mesons through minimal coupling. The interaction kernel is obtained by considering the f_0(980) as a K\bar{K} bound state.

On the scalar nonet in the extended Nambu Jona-Lasinio model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We discuss the lightest scalar resonances, $f_0(600)$, $\kappa(800)$, $a_0(980)$ and $f_0(980)$ in the extended Nambu Jona-Lasinio model. We find that the model parameters can be tuned, but unnaturally, to accommodate for those scalars except the $f_0 ...

Biopsychosocial determinants of hand function and its trajectories over five years in patients with hand osteoarthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives This study aimed to investigate hand function trajectories over 5 years in primary hand osteoarthritis. Additionally, determinants of baseline and longitudinal hand function were assessed. Methods 538 patients with both baseline and 5‐year study visits were analyzed.

Observation of a00 (980)-f0 (980) Mixing

open access: yes, 2018
We report the first observation of a00(980)-f0(980) mixing in the decays of J/???f0(980)??a00(980)????0 and ?c1?a00(980)?0?f0(980)?0??+?-?0, using data samples of 1.31×109 J/? events and 4.48×108 ?(3686) events accumulated with the BESIII detector.

Structures of the $f_0(980)$, $a_0(980)$ mesons and the strong coupling constants $g_{f_0 K^+ K^-}$, $g_{a_0 K^+ K^-}$ with the light-cone QCD sum rules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this article, with the assumption of explicit isospin violation arising from the $f_0(980)-a_0(980)$ mixing, we take the point of view that the scalar mesons $f_0(980)$ and $a_0(980)$ have both strange and non-strange quark-antiquark components and ...

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...
