Identification of a 40- to 42-kDa Attachment Polypeptide for Canine Parvovirus in A72 Cells

Virology, 1994
The attachment of canine parvovirus (CPV) to different cell lines was quantitated by a fluorescence-activated cell sorter assay. The viral attachment was observed to both permissive A72 and nonpermissive ST cells but not to nonpermissive MDBK cells.

Abstract A72: Dissecting the role of NF-kappaB signaling in ovarian cancer tumor-initiating cells.

Clinical Cancer Research, 2016
Abstract Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynecological malignancy in the United States with high morbidity and mortality due to recurrence and chemoresistance. Our data suggest tumor-initiating cells (TICs) play an important role in disease biology.

Abstract A72: Next-generation sequencing of disseminated tumor cells

Cancer Research, 2015
Abstract Disseminated tumor cells (DTCs) detected in the bone marrow have been shown as an independent prognostic factor for women with breast cancer. However, the mechanisms behind the tumor cell dissemination are still unclear and more detailed knowledge is needed to fully understand why some cells remain dormant and others metastasize.

Abstract A72: Exploring the role of miR-223 loss in mammary epithelial cell transformation

Molecular Cancer Research, 2018
Abstract Despite novel treatment strategies and prevention, one of the major clinical challenges in breast cancer (BC) is the development of local and distant recurrences. These are linked not only to genetic and epigenetic alteration in cancer cells, but also to tumor-microenvironment and tumor-host crosstalk.

Abstract A72: TGF-β2 underpins CD44-promoted breast tumor cell invasion

Cancer Research, 2013
Abstract Hyaluronan (HA) mediates communication between cancer cells and the environment via interactions with the cell surface receptor CD44. The long-term objective of this study is to increase our understanding of the mechanisms by which CD44-HA interaction promotes BC metastasis, and further identify and validate CD44-downstream ...

Abstract A72: Protein isoforms of the RON tyrosine kinase receptor transform human pancreatic ductal epithelial cells and induce acinar to ductal metaplasia

Cancer Research, 2015
Abstract Introduction:The RON tyrosine kinase receptor is increasingly overexpressed during progression to Pancreatic Intraepithelial Neoplasia (PanIN) and pancreatic duct adenocarcinoma (PDAC). RON expression in these neoplastic cells is associated with a highly invasive phenotype and resistance to gemcitabine. Mutations in the gene for
