Behaviour near zero and near infinity of solutions to elliptic equalities and inequalities
Here we consider elliptic equations and inequalities involving quasilinear operators in divergence form and nonlinear lower order terms: $$-mathop{m div}left(mathcal{A}(x,u,abla u)ight) geq |x|^sigma u^Qquad(Q>0,sigma in mathbb{R}), $$ in dimension $Ngeq

Objective JAK inhibitors (JAKis) have shown promising effects in early‐phase studies of SSc. We aimed to assess the safety and explore effectiveness of JAKis compared to conventional immunosuppressants in SSc. Methods A longitudinal retrospective study of the EUSTAR cohort was performed.

This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

We study the nonnegative solutions to equation $$ -Delta_{p}u=u^{q}+lambdau, $$ in a bounded domain $Omega$ of $mathbb{R}^{N}$, where $10$ is a parameter. We give necessary conditions on $u$ for existence, with $lambda$ small enough, in terms of capacity.

A priori estimates for excitable models
An integro-differential operator which models several phenomena in viscoelasticity, biology and superconductivity is considered. The initial-boundary problems with Neumann, Dirichlet and mixed boundary conditions are analyzed and results on existence ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

In this paper, we derive quasi-norm a priori and a posteriori error estimates for the Crouzeix-Raviart type finite element approximation of the p-Laplacian. Sharper a priori upper error bounds are obtained.

PASTA‐ELN: Simplifying Research Data Management for Experimental Materials Science
Research data management faces ongoing hurdles as many ELNs remain complex and restrictive. PASTA‐ELN offers an open‐source, cross‐platform solution that prioritizes simplicity, offline access, and user control. Its in tuitive folder structure, modular Python add‐ons, and open formats enable seamless documentation, FAIR data practices, and easy ...

We consider the Dirichlet problem for a class of nonlinear elliptic equations whose model is . We give a priori -estimates using symmetrization methods. An obstacle problem for nonlinear variational inequalities is also studied.

Optimization of the integro-differential hyperbolic model
We consider a model of processes in viscoelastic media. The force arising inside the body may depend not only on the current values but also on the entire time history of the motion (for example, polymers, emulsions, and suspensions exhibit memory ...
