A new combo‐transmission solution is proposed for enhancing both the energy efficiency and production benefit in an 100 MN aluminium extrusion workshop. The combo‐transmission scheme can transport the liquid‐nitrogen‐based cold energy and the superconductor‐based electric energy using the same cryogenic energy pipeline.

The current work investigates the erosion‐corrosion behaviour of thermally sprayed tungsten carbide‐10% nickel (WC‐10% Ni) coatings placed on the AA6061 aluminum alloy. The AA6061 aluminum alloy was coated with tungsten carbide –10% nickel coatings utilising a high‐velocityoxy‐fuel (HVOF) spray method.

The aim of this research paper is to find the wear behaviour of Al7075 MMCs. In this investigation, the wear tests on the as‐cast and age‐hardened specimens were performed on an advanced rotary tribometer. The materials selected for the analysis are Al7075 as a matrix, and the reinforcements are boron carbide.

Design and Numerical Simulation of Pyramidal Prefolded Patterned Thin‐Walled Tubes
An improved pyramidal prefolded pattern was designed and applied to thin‐walled tubes. This delicately designed pattern modularizes the tube to control the folding process and act as an inducer to trigger deformation modes with outstanding crushing performance.

On the Folding Mechanics of Square Columns with Double‐Surfaced Gradients
The implementation of graded thicknesses in structural designs is an efficient strategy for improving the energy absorption performance of thin‐walled columns. In this study, the mechanical responses of square columns with double‐surfaced gradients under axial crushing forces were analytically and numerically investigated. A mathematical expression for

Buffering Performance of High‐Speed Impact Space Penetrator with Foam‐Filled Thin‐Walled Structure
High‐speed penetrators carrying detection equipment impact planetary bodies at high speeds, and they are therefore buried at depths of up to several meters beneath the surface. During the friction and collision with the crust of the planet, the acceleration of the scientific instrumentation is significantly large. The vibration protection structure for

Recrystallization in a Hot Deformed Al‐Mg‐Si Alloy: The Effect of Fine Precipitates
The recrystallization of an Al‐Mg‐Si alloy deformed by plane strain compression at 400°C and 1 s-1 has been studied. Fine particles are found to have a significant influence on the development of recrystallization textures. Annealing at 400°C, in the presence of Al‐Fe‐Si particles located on boundaries, results in a weak recrystallization texture ...
