The Ethics of AACSB Accreditation: Unintended Consequences
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2016This paper discusses some of the issues involved in pursuing AACSB accreditation. It also describes why AACSB accreditation is not necessarily a measure of quality. Suggestions on how to improve AACSB accreditation are provided.

AACSB Standards and Accounting Faculty's Intellectual Contributions
Journal of Education for Business, 2008The authors performed a content analysis of intellectual contribution portfolios of accounting faculty at various business schools that Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International recently accredited. The results showed a significant divergence in faculty research (e.g., areas, topics) and their teaching assignments.

Assessment Practices in AACSB-Accredited Business Schools

In this article, the authors report the results of a survey of current assessment practices at 138 AACSB-accredited schools.

Journal of the Association for Information Systems, 2007The development of ABET/CAC accreditation standards for IS programs presents an excellent opportunity for IS programs in AACSB-accredited business schools to improve their perceived quality and credibility. The Labor Market Returns to AACSB Accreditation
Journal of Labor Research, 2012We examine whether there is a wage premium from attending an AACSB accredited business college compared to a non-accredited business college. To estimate the returns to AACSB accreditation, we use data from the 1993/1994 Baccalaureate and Beyond Longitudinal Study, which provides a rich set of control variables.
