Optimization Problems for Fast AAM Fitting in-the-Wild [PDF]
We describe a very simple framework for deriving the most-well known optimization problems in Active Appearance Models (AAMs), and most importantly for providing efficient solutions. Our formulation results in two optimization problems for fast and exact AAM fitting, and one new algorithm which has the important advantage of being applicable to 3D.

Concentric Rheostat Decoupled 3D Force‐Sensing Module for Smart Table Tennis Training
A 3D‐printed sensor array intrinsically decouples normal and shear forces through a unique concentric structural design. By integrating piezoresistive, sliding area‐varying capacitive, and concentric rheostat mechanisms, the 12‐sensor module achieves high‐resolution 3D force mapping without complex algorithms.

ABSTRACT Hypomethylating agents (HMA) and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT) have both demonstrated remissions in VEXAS; however, comparative data is lacking. We conducted a multicenter, retrospective analysis of 66 patients diagnosed with VEXAS syndrome treated with HMA (n = 35) or alloHSCT (n = 31). Baseline characteristics

Abstract Improving fertilizer use efficiency is essential for reducing environmental pollution, sustaining agricultural production, and maximizing the economic profitability of crop production systems. This study tested the hypothesis that the formulation strategy of biochar‐based fertilizers, rather than nutrient addition alone, is associated with ...

Circular Economy Pathways for Airport Climate Change Mitigation
ABSTRACT Airport operators face growing climate‐change pressures; the circular economy offers pathways to reduce impacts and recover resources. We examine how airport operators apply the circular economy in practice. We use an exploratory qualitative multicase design based on practitioner‐generated documents (e.g., press releases and sustainability ...
